Bought my daughter a 4 x 4 for her first car. Had a real surprise with the insurance... Dhiatsu 4 track (2.8) less than a thousand (7 seater) - Nissan Terrano 2.7 (7 seater) nearly 2000. Best thing I ever did buying a 4 x 4 for her

I agree, if you search on the internet insurance groups this will show you a group of cars in the cheapest insurance group. These will be 1 litre engine cars and Insurance goes up the bigger the engine. Yes been looking at the price of each insurance for cars once ive looked at ive found the c1 and c2 cheapest out the lot.

As a general rule, the smaller the engine size the cheaper insurance, and don't be afraid to go on lots of test drives, you don't have to buy the car there and then if you think there is a better one around the corner
