Very very relunctantly I am parting with my Welsh Pony Tasha (Cottrell Natasha), for personal reasons. Offers around £650 for a quick sale - good home an absolute priority (and far more important than the price!!)
Tasha's breeding needs no introduction, she is out of Cottrell Nell Gwyn (Cwrtycadno Cadfridog), by Rotherwood State Occasion: www.allbreedpedigree.com/cottrell+natasha
She is a very pretty chestnut roan, with an incredibly delicate head and beautiful conformation. She is rising 9 years old, and 13hh.
From what I know of her history, she has shown successfully at county level as a youngster, and is a proven broodmare having bred two quality foals (one of whom I believe also has had success in the show ring - Kymstone Ambassador). I have owned Tasha since April last year, and had intended to back her and bring her on for ridden showing, altho her primary role in my little herd has been as companion, and 'second string' riding pony, as showing is not my main discipline!
Unfortunately due to the loss of my mum in November from cancer, Tasha has since had nothing done with her. She is a really sweet and very quality pony and really deserves someone to enjoy her - since my mum died I have just not got the same enthusiasm and motivation for her at this stage in her education.
She has been very lightly backed, but has now been out of work for six months so I would suggest she needs starting from scratch again as I really didn't get very far with her before my mum's illness got worse. She has seen light traffic in-hand, her ground/stable manners are absolutely excellent, and she is 100% to catch/shoe/trim/clip/load etc. She lives in or out, and is happy to be left on her own in the field or stable (she will call for her friends a bit at first, but does settle). No vices, and up to date with her vaccinations and dentist, she is also of course fully passported with the WPCS.
The right home is very important as she is such a nice person - she would continue to be a lovely broodmare or in-hand show pony, or with consistent work and training a quality ridden mare. She is very well behaved around children, but obviously would need some more work before she could be a child's ridden pony.
I am open to sensible offers for this lovely little mare.
Based in North Hampshire - I could help with transport within a reasonable distance. Photos (including some ridden ones) are available via email.
