Has anyone taken you up on this, Guestless? Money where mouth is, and all that! It was a good idea. Nope - no-one was brave enough! And looks like the predictions on here were wrong anyway.

Ok results as I know them.
Sec D:
1 .Crugmelyn Owain Glyndwr ridden by Lisa ( Stunning cob!! a very good win) 2. Broughton Pride, Carol Issac,
HDF 1 Sunglow Lady Paula, Sam 2. Lizzies Fell (Sorry can't remeber her name but I think she is lovely!!!)
Connie/ Nf..Huge class
1.Castle Ri Mathew 2. F. Fingerprint
B&C 1. Syynod Ruff... Sam 2. Waxwing Rheel... Bobby
Smalls
1. Waitwith Westwind 2. Southerly Red ... the Bars
Overall I thought the judging was very fair and consistant, I would not have changed any of the top ponies, I know that Ri and the A have been there and done it, but they went fab, and Ri is lovely. So CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! It was great to see some new faces in the championship with the Cob thought he was absoutly stunning, A real old fashioned stamp of a cob!

I'm sorry "face" but you have to remember that these are all very good ponies, expertly ridden. Perhaps they are winning for that reason not because they are ridden by a "face". I don't disagree that judging can be facey, but this isn't automatically the case when top quality ponies win. Did you go to the show? Did you see these ponies perform badly and still win?

Sam rode the dales in the champ and Jackie rode the C. I disagree with you face, ok everyone had a feeling that Ri would get the ticket, but why should he not get it? ( I hate connies by the way and I think far too many have qualified for Olympia this year!! ) but he goes brilliantly and that can not be taken from the horse. It seems people cant win, what would you rather a 'Face' on not very nice pony or a pony that performs badly or a face on a lovely pony that goes foot perfectly? I read the thread on Sollihull and carol Issac was slated, well I saw the cob she qualified for HOYS on and it went lovely and got 2nd in a strong olympia class. It often seems to be a case of you cant win no matter.

Thought she would, as thats the one that she wanted to qualify there!
Nps area 20 and kent soon, she'll get her ticket at on of them, failing that there's the Dales Show.
Ri is super, well done

Well I had an absolutely lovely day. There we were sitting in the rain at 7pm watching the Olympia classes and wondering if we were off our trolley, a gin and tonic would of been nice but you know, having to drive that lorry. I watched every Olympia class and would go under the said judge again. Every horse that won it's class performed well with the exception of Ri, he out shone everything. I have never had time to actually watch this pony as alway been busy helping or grooming and he most definitely lives up to his reputation. A big congratulation Jackie, Ri and Matthew I know what it us like to have a once in a lifetime pony. Tomorrows another day for all of us left chasing Olympias and it was lovely to see most of the classes full to the brim again, especially the D's and Connies/NF. PS well done Lisa.

Well done to Matthew, Jackie & Ri ! He is stunning pony, and goes so beautifully.
And also many congrats to Lisa for winning the D class on her stallion - he is only 5yr old and this is only his first full season out showing !! So really well done for how much improvement he has made to acheive a win in an Olympia class. I bet she was grinning from ear to ear. She qualified for Picton only a couple of months ago at SCWPCA show, and was thrilled with that !
