P uk was very disappointing, returning after a 3year absence, such a decline in entries, hideously expensive and such biased judging towards the producers and sponsors very "us and them" Shame as some really fab ponies in some classes which never even made the evening performance Lack of toilets in the lorry parks, Rude obnoxious campers [including an admitted commitee member] with threatening behaviour all screeching and screaming like hags at 2.30 in the morning...3 nights running and no you werent celebrating your "wins" not on tuesday night! Puk you really need to seperate those that wish to stagger round drunkedly from those that dont! Selling defrosted bread at £1.50 Disgruntled stall owners Fab ice cream tho!!!!!!!!

Not the organiser's fault but 3 nights of those obnoxious campers so not much sleep was more than enough. Shame they didn't seem to know the rules for Burghley Event Pony which should have a mixture of coloured and rustic fences, and 10 jumping efforts not 10 jumps, if I hadn't pointed it out there would have been no whistle at all to start the dressage. First time there having switched from Equifest because there weren't the classes for my whp, not sure if we'll make the trip next year but having said that some lovely courses and some of the stewards couldn't have been more helpful.

I was very disappointed with puk,As they did a ring change an some mad person decided to put the private driving carriages in a ring next to the novices and 4/5/6yr classes .When i asked a steward if they would postpone one of classes she said no a 4yr novice should beable to cope with it,i just shook my head an walked away.

I agree that numbers where down on previous years but not dramatically. I had a very pleasent week and all the stewards could not have been more pleasant I loved the workers rings and there where always around 10 in my ridden classes yes not what they used to be but a far more enjoyable experience than sitting in a ring of 30 waiting:) D o wish class entry prices where cheaper . Also all the competitors where really helpful had a bit of a blip with my boy and one even offered me a bit to use for the whole week rather than going and buying something that may not work. Looking at the planting of the apple trees where the grandstand normally stands I've no idea where one could have been put and due to ring changes there was a small Gold ring that I thought they could have moved the white fencing from in the eve to create a bigger ring all in all I had a lovely week which was helped by the fantastic weather I think the contract is up at Newark and Notts so only time will tell where it is next year but I'll be there if there is one.

Not taking anything away from Jonathan or his mum as they do wprk incredibly hard but I don't think they would be classed as home produced as he rides for other people???
