I feel obliged to say that I have used SS on several occasions and have always had polite, professional and quick service - even for really difficult to fit jackets

As far as I was aware any product bought from a business falls under the Sales of Goods Act. The product needs to be fit for purpose and last a reasonable amount of time. The amount of time depends on the product and cost eg a tv should last at least 5 years, same for a good washing machine etc whereas a super cheap turnout you'd be lucky for it to last 2 years. I think to make a complaint within 12 months for a jacket of the quality they claim it to be is reasonable. Same if they sent a jacket with the wrong measurements...doesnt matter if its 'bespoke'. Its not what was ordered! They have failed on their side of the sales contract. Also note that under the Sales of Goods Act, the contract is with the shop, NOT a manufacturer so if a shop says they'll send, say for example your leaking hunter wellies back to manufacturer to see what they say and go from there, they are copping out. They should replace them with their own stock and it is up to them to claim faulty goods with the manufacturer to replace the stock. I watched The One Show with the lawyer guy, lol
