Belfa this post could be by me!!!! Exactly what I've been wondering I too am eagerly awaiting the arrival this autumn of my palomino filly am intrested in showing her in riding horse classes in time but having stood in show ring on Sunday (riding horse my bay mare came 1st ) I just couldn't imagine a palomino in there though I don't see what's stopping them. My fillys event bred and beautifully put together looking fairly neat for her 3 months and showing lovely straight movement her brother is 3 and stood at stud and is the most beautiful pale golden palomino. Whatever happens palomino is likely to be first one noticed and while I'm sure some older more traditional judges will stick to bay this should not make a differance I'm hoping to test the water with her in youngstock classes if she does well we will continue and depending on how well I haven't ruled out having her produced for the show ring failing that id be quite happy doing dressage with her as she will make a fantastic alrounder I bought my girl as my Tb mare is now 23 having enjoyed a successful year showing her think I'm a bit bitten by showing bug as my tbs first proper year out showing due to finally having the time and the old girl being fit and well (she previously jumped but out the question now her legs aren't so good) hopefully we will see you out next year I've already planned out Cheshire for my baby next year as her first big outing in the sports horse breeding Lol, my sentiments exactly! I will admit I am very biased towards palominos so I am naturally drawn to them, but that doesn't mean that everyone will be! From my experience so far though there has been no negative impact due to her colour. How is your filly bred?

Belfa I have seen your filly foal in the flesh, on a visit to Solaris, she is beautiful with lots of presence I would hope that she would hold her own in any classes you show her in.

My boys coat has changed so much since I first purchased him as a 2 year old. On his passport he is down as 'cream', however his colour has changed so much over the years. He has gone darker as he has got older and has a silvery mane with a white tail! His sire is Synod Ruskin. He is the pony in my avatar. I love him too bits and have so many nice comments on his colouring ;0)
