open to ideas on a 12 hh for my child's second year in first ridden. Show Pony, Show Hunter. good temperament vital. has to be a quality pony capable of HOYS qualifiers. Happy to wait until end of season for the right pony. Must know its job if a show pony as due to her late winter birthday only has 1 year in first ridden so havent got time for a novice. Due to only having only one year on first pony of show hunter type would need to be open 12 hh shp.
We have a novice first ridden MM for next season but want something to be doing the open sp/shp classes successfully at the same time.
very experienced home top class home having produced MM stallions for HOYS for ourselves but am finding buying ponies that have no quirks for my little one a minefield. I always wanted something with a lot of extrovert character for myself to show but this cannot be for my daughter at the moment. I am happy to sit on and set a pony up for the jockey but don't want something that needs me to be working it in for hours before it goes in the ring, been there, done that and dont mind doing it for novices but not for this one, I want something reliable not one to stand by the side of the ring wondering if today it will go properly.
If youve got an older pony successful pony stuck in the field doing nothing and would like it out next season to be sold at the end of the season, im open to discussion.
My daughter is proving to be brave intelligent rider but only if she can trust the pony.
basically I am keeping an open mind, I just want a really good pony as we are based in the midlands with some serious competition in our area even at local level so only a pony capable of going to the top will do.
