The M & M in hand championship today was a disgrace. One competitor thought it necessary to continuously wind her section A up knowing that there was stallions and young children in the arena ! I thought the tiny girl with the section a should have stood champion and the section D reserve. Totally agree with every word! Or the partbread! Was very surprised!

it was my pony that took champion and my pony that took reserve, the young handler being the jockey of the one that took champion as well, so i know my ponies and i know my handler, the D stallion was also being spun on the line so double standards there i think and the pony that won has also been champion at lampeter twice, was supreme welsh at warrington this year and has won more medals and championships than most welshies will ever see in their lifetime oh and qualified HOYS 2014 so yes each to their own but its not like it was undeserved and no one was ever in any danger at any point in fact i had to put myself between my niece and the stallion so she didn't get hurt, championships can go anyway but i would never say any winner was undeserved that's just unfair

The above was the Welsh in hand championship. The M&M championship was won by Castle Hill Jack Daniels and reserve was the Shetland. Supreme in hand was the lovely traditonal gypsy cob stallion and reserve Castle Hill Jack Daniels.

i think its very unfair reading some of these comments on here about other peoples ponies nasty comments should be kept quiet about who should of won a certain class etc my daughter qualified Wembley recently 3 times at 3 different shows but we,ve been showing for 20 yrs and its nice whoever wins good luck to them everyone thinks their ponies are best and if your an adult or child be happy for them its not nice reading some of the comments

Well done laura Clibburn for taking both champion and reserve. Having owned the pony in reserve I am obviously biased lol. Everyone is intitled to their opinion perhaps wise not to air it so publicly if its going to cause upset!!!!

You are entitled to your opinion, lovetoshow, but to print it in writing on here is very rude and disrespectful to the winners and the judge .. keep it to yourself hey chick :/

Does anyone know who qualified for Olympia in the senior showing section? Couldn't stay for the championship as had to get back. Some absolutely stunning animals forward, well supported classes and each animal did not look their age at all. I have to say my favourite was the welsh cob stallion in the pre senior ridden class. I think I've seen him out and about before. He was my winner in the strong class but was placed 4th. Does anyone know who he is? Incredible manners, superb condition and he went beautifully. Well done to all the winners and congratulations to aintree for another fab show.x

She has owned him since a baby and he is the most wonderful boy with a fabulous temperament. I think there was only 1 mark in it as I'm sure I read that the top 3 were all on 91 and she ended up on 90 but I could wrong.

It was the in hand champion that took the veterans ticket - a lovely bay pony that on the pre senior in hand class I was in both the in hand and ridden pre senior 2nd rounds today, and I have to say every single horse and pony was worthy of the Olympia ticket today! It was a privilege to be in the lineup. And what a lovely bunch of people to compete against x

I love this show and enjoy being there but today has completely changed my opinion. The m&m whp ring was in my opinion a shambles. I was in the not exceeding 143cm. I jumped clear and went back to go the go round and show. While stood in the line up I noticed that my lip strap had come undone. So i asked the steward if she would just fasten it up for me. She said as she was a steward in the ring she couldn't but said if I wanted to "pop" off and do it then I could. I said are you sure to which she replied yes. So i did and was off for around 5 seconds max and got back on. I was told by the judge that I was eliminated as it stated in the bsps rule book and had to wait till the end of everything else doing their shows as it was rude to leave. Resulting in him missing his 2nd round olympia qualifier :-( My gripe is as he is a stallion I was not prepared to lean down his neck and attempt to do it up. Although he is a good boy I still would not try it in fear of him spooking and scattering the line up resulting in upset ponies and jockeys. I was given permission to dismount and sort my tack out as I did not wish to leave it as he could of got it in his mouth or anything!! This rule needs looking at as there is no rule which states this as a elimination
