If you can please go on the BHS site (or via Horse and Hound) and complete the ragwort survey, only takes 5 mins and may help in the control of this deadly weed.

I had a wee look but it seemed to only relate to England, so wasn't sure whether to proceed?

Done it! I'll be interested in the results of the survey once they are published.
We drove from Southampton to Manchester over the weekend and saw so much grazing land that looked so yellow with Ragwort that it seemed more like Rapeseed crop than horse pasture - it was quite shocking.

Louise, I don't think it matters if it's yellow or tartan ragwort!

Unless the landowner tackles it it is impossible to get the authorities to act. I reported a complete field full of it to Defra and the first question was what's the owner's name? All I knew was it was a field near jct13 of M4 Mr Chievely.

I drive past a field every day full of ragwort with ponies grazing on it
My luck = one piece and ours would eat it!
