There seems to be so many on the market! I'm currently using Feedmarks Activet, but it's not working quite as well as I'd hoped. My pony can be stiff on his hind fetlocks, they 'click' into place, he is fine once warmed up (he is 18).
Which products have you used, and how do they compare? Plus any recommendations for the cheapest place to purchase!

Hi,
I swear by joint right supreme, have used it for many years on different horses/ponies and find it excellent. You can get it from horse supplements direct, there also lots of testimonials on there.
Hope this helps

I have used Synequin and really believe this helps. £119 from Viovet is the cheapest I can find it for

I've used Cortaflex with success too, and take the HA human version myself which really works for me, but hadn't commented as I know I could be out of date and haven't tried the newer ones out, no horses that need one!

Interested in this post - spoken to people at HOYS and was very interested in certain ones but nice to see other people's opinions - I have a younger horse but when speaking to people they seemed to think he should be started on a joint suppliment young and remain on it -

We were told by our vet cortaflex ect wasn't that great & to get ' green lipped mussel ' we have both our 3 year old and 13 year old who has Suspensory ligament damage on it. So far after 6 months of doing the injury is back in full work & it's all holding up so far, we also use the ice vibe boots at least once a day.

Well cortaflex definitely works for me, different to horses though I know! I use the human, HA version. HA is a standard treatment when injected into joints, but not normally given by mouth. I've gone on and off it a few times to check and after three days without I'm back in pain again. My orthopaedic surgeon recommended glucosamine but that did nothing. Years ago when such things as joint supplements were in their infancy I had one on straight Condroitin, which really worked for him when others didn't, and when we eventually lost him (from white line disease) I used up what was left on our old collie with arthritic hips. She went from no longer being able to jump into the back of the estate car to being able to jump into not only that, but the much higher LR as well. You could argue that with me it's the placebo effect, although I did what I could be eliminate that, but it wouldn't apply to a dog, and I had a measurable result, not just a subjective assessment.
