A cattle gun is under section 5(1b) considered a "firearm", a horse I believe is not deemed as cattle. If anyone knows this girl she must take this forward with the police. Firearms legislation is complex and many officers sadly do not know it in full but sadly will not get the legislation out to check. What this man has done in a public place is a further crime. Surely the police are involved??? This man is clearly a danger to "life".
It is a lethal weapon and you can't just walk about in public with that, never mind discharging and killing.

This is truly shocking - thoughts are with girl who leased horse and owner who must be completely devastated. What an unbelievably cruel thing to do. To actually be able to pull the trigger to kill a healthy horse over a debt is beyond belief. This man has something inside him to be able to do this which normal people just don't have. Absolutely disgusting. I hope the book is thrown at him and his ability to work around animals is stopped for good.

Good news! The RSPCA have moved their horses from the premises, hopefully this means that further action will be taken
