Can any of you help me please or point me in the right direction.
I am looking to buy a cheap youngster to run out with another horse as a companion. Ideally I would like something nice thats going to have a job at the end of it but have tried lots of sites and put an ad on here looking for one but there doesnt seem to be any specialised sites for youngsters or am I missing something?
Surely someone must have something that would fit the bill but I cant find it. Perhaps I am looking in the wrong place?

I have full pedigree registered with DPS Dartmoors in North Yorkshire, Cayberry stud. Very reasonably priced to the right homes.

Hi There,
We have a couple of ponies that might fit the bill. Fully registered Welsh B, lovely temperaments, used to being with other ponies - so excellent as companions!
Totally wasted here so no silly prices.

If you have the experience/ facilities, this time of year you could also look at some of the moorland pony sales. A nice new forest pony? www.nfls.org.uk/sales.htm Or there are the non-pedigree but some nice ponies at the dartmoor drift sales, or pedigree exmoors coming in herd for sale. Or look out for whatever is near you...

The Dartmoor hill ponies are not registered Dartmoor ponies, it is all very misleading, but basically they are a mongrel pony off Dartmoor! Not eligible to be shown at affiliated shows, that is the reason they are so cheap.

The OP did not say they wanted to show just that they wanted a cheap animal could have a useful working life. There are many lovely dartmoor hill ponies that do pony club etc- there is more to life than showing. I was not implying any comparison to registered dartmoors and thought that I had made that clear.
