Hi Just wondering if anyone has any idea what rugs / clip my pony needs. She is a welsh section D and she's as like a furry teddy-bear! Every time anyone rides her for more than 10 mins she gets really sweaty (this is my first winter with her), so I presume she needs clipping. She is ridden about six days a week, doing jumping, flatwork and hacking (normally about an hour round trip to the bridlepath which we canter along). Thanks everyone

Hi, personally I'd take all her body off. Leave her legs on as she is a D., I also like to leave a small saddle patch. Rugs will depend on this ridiculous weather. I like mine in medium weight combos until it gets really cold then on go the heavyweights to start to encourage the coat ready for next season. Be careful with the combos though in case the mane rubs.

Thanks do you know if you can just buy necks for rugs because she came with about ten rugs but only one stable rug has a neck (some have rings that I think are for detachable necks) or can you just buy thin waterproof rugs with necks that can go over a stable rug with a neck?
