This will be my first ever year doing veterans with my mare and Im very confused lol! Iv been looking at the Senior Horse Showing and Dressage website but I have also found the Veteran Horse Showing Society... they both seem to offer similar things but Iv never had a veteran before so don't know the differences. If anyone has any experiences with either of these societies please tell me what you thought I am only looking at doing showing with my mare as she does not like dressage in the slightest haha. Any advice or your experiences will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Leanne

If you want to qualify for olympia you have to join and register your pony with senior showing and dressage
VHS do they're own showing/dressage series aimed at a more grass root level

We did veterans for the first time last year and joined Senior Showing. We had a fab time qualifying for Olympia and indeed going to Olympia - which was amazing. The whole team looks after you so well. I didn't join VHS so I can't help you with that one, but would be happy to guide you through SSADL and round 1/2/direct etc if you get stuck. Good luck and we may see you out and about.

Echo the above our 'first year' and it was a wonderful experience - would also add the SSAD Championship show was also a great event which was super friendly, can't wait for this years!
