Hi everyone Has any one ever had a bespoke saddle made for their youngish horse (mines 6), and who was it done by? Thanks

I personally recommend buying from stock if you possibly can - you buy exactly the saddlr you ride in. Even if you ride in a demo and make you the exact same saddle they are handmade and as such can vary very slightly. You also legally get a weeks trial on a standard in stock saddle. People's stories also seem to show that custom saddles are slightly less fexible in their fit over time, so more likely to need to be changed, plus they don't hold their value as people are unsure what they're buying.
Do you have particular issues that make you think you need a custom saddle?

ive never had a problem with an 'off the shelf 'saddle ,however a friend of mine spent a fortune on a made to measure bespoke saddle , only for the horse to mature , muscleup , and change shape sooo much in a year that she had to sell it on at a fraction of the price ,,,,,,, i always say that a horse between breaking and 10 yrs old will have at least 3 different saddles , due to changing shape,,, off the shelf saddles areso much better than they ever used to be .
