I personally prefer navy foxhead buttons, but I think gold buttons are suitable for children, or smaller riders on ponies. Imo an adult on a horse would look better with navy buttons

Personally, I think if you are going to wear something a bit 'out there', you need to be exceptional in your class. Its not for the amateur gaining experience in a class of professionals! Tin hat at the ready lol!!!!

I watched an evening performance demo at equifest a few years ago and one rider got pulled up on having gold buttons on her navy jacket - the judge said plain ones are preferred. They can make you stand out in a big class though.
