I AM WANTING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR HORSEBOX INSURANCE, PREFERABLY ONE WITH BREAKDOWN INCLUDED, ALSO A BOX WE HAVE ARRANGED A VIEWING FOR IS 4.5 HOURS AWAY SO IF WE LIKE IT WE WILL BE DRIVING IT HOME WITH US, ILL GET SOME QUOTES BEFORE I GO BUT OBVIOUSLY WE WILL NEED IT TO BE INSURED TO TAKE IT HOME, AND IT WILL BE ON THE WEEKEND SO INSURANCE OFFICES MAY BE CLOSED FOR WEEKEND, ITS A 9 HOUR ROUND TRIP SO DEFINITELY DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO GO TWICE
SORRY FOR CAPS

My daughter has just bought her first box, SEIB definitely the best by far. Plus I used them for years and have had to call on them several times.Brilliant for breakdown. Also you do realise that you will need to tax the box beforehand as it can't be sold with tax. She left a deposit and we got all the box details so we could do this as we wanted to be legally covered on the journey home.

Another vote for SEIB and the breakdown service on the only occasion we have had to use it was great.

Antony Evans do instant cover with breakdown inc horse transportation, think mine was £265 for the year inc breakdown cover. With two named drivers fully comp.

Another thumbs up for Anthony Evans! Less than 300 a year full comp any driver over 25 and breakdown cover! I once bought a lorry from a long way away and on the way called them to ask if I could have a temp cert and breakdown cover which cost about 35 pounds, no problem with this. Good job I did as there was a massive engine failure on the M5 and the lorry was brought home on the back of a flat bed and no questions asked!

Another vote for Anthony Evans - we have had to use the breakdown cover a few times and they have always been fabulous!

You can buy it online but you only process it on a weekday. When I bought mine I had to wait until the next day for the certificate, only got a proof of payment emailed straight away through the payment system.

Yes it was. I only got confirmation of payment, no proof of insurance until the next day. You might be better off phoning them if you need it straight away
