Can't tell you the name of the pony that won the pp lr, but what I can tell you having seen the result sheet is that the judge awarded it the perfect 100 points; 50 for show and 50 for confirmation......please!!! Well done to that person. They must be over the moon!! Judges decision is final.

I never normally complain about my results as we always take the best pony home but I have to say we did the PP FR we have qualified already but pre entered so went in anyway had 42 for conformation no problem with that then went into the open RI FR same judge, went in to strip and was told not to as the judge had just seen my pony, ok presumed they would transfer the 42 mark but no we then had 27!!? How do we lose 15 marks between classes ??

Depends what the benchmark score was. It may well have been judged higher in the first class then maybe the judge realised he/she didn't have enough scope so set the bench score lower.

Again, depending on the ponies forward the judge may have wished to give themselves more scope. Who knows??

I'd also like to add to the judging comments, I don't know whether it was the same judges talked about but it was the same people winning?? Talk about making it obvious ?
Entries were terrible! 1 pony in the 14hh SHP RIHS qualifier, 1 horse in the small riding horse!!!
Show was run well but surely not enough entries to keep up to standard of RIHS. There are too many qualifiers for RIHS.
Anything and everything seems to qualify!!!

I don't see how you can say I'm missing the point when you come out with only half a tale!!!! Goodness me, im supposed to be psychic now too. I still stand by what I said in my post above to the other exhibitor but yes a 50 is a 50 regardless of class but I was unaware of that wasn't I.

I can not think of another sport in the world where there is so little arbitration of the outcomes? Because in showing you don't have to be the fastest, throw the furthest, score the most goals, hit the most targets etc. to win. You are paying for somebodies opinion of your animal which will always alter from person to person and also what other animals are in the ring.

Showsupreme were you in the LR class? The show secretary is aware of what went on in the mini m&m's and advising anyone unhappy to contact the BSPS. I'm all for taking the rough with the smooth but feel in our case it was unjust, their were only 5 in the open class, 3 of us were not allowed to strip as they had just been seen in the PP class, I would happily take 15 conf marks less had we been able to present the pony again but as we weren't how do you lose 15 marks stood in a line up! It's a shame this put a downer on an otherwise lovely day our other pony went under the judges in the other ring who were fab

And my pony between the PP M&M Fr and Open M&M FR lost 8 confirmation marks despite the judge not stripping the pony in the 2nd class because she'd already seen it. And to make matters worse my daughter had the highest ride mark in both classes, and would have won the open FR by 3 marks if the confirmation marks had been the same (why wouldn't they be if the pony wasn't stripped again!!!). My daughter is just 10, and I am supposed to explain to her how this can happen??....And yes, I will be contacting the BSPS this morning

Our girls would have then been 1st and 2nd and been in the section championship which at 10yrs old means the world to them

I have no idea how 13a keep the RI Qualifiers the entries are always poor across the board but especially in the whp

13a is a hard working area and surrounded by water on three sides. Without having this qualifier in our neck of the woods would mean a minimum of 3 hours travelling just to compete in a qualifier! Everyone should have the right to qualifier near them! Our ponies are just as nice as those up country so we too should have the right to try and qualify for the Royal International on 'home turf'
I agree that in this case the judges should have stripped the ponies but we take great pride in carefully selecting our judges so that no-body is connected to them allowing for a more equal playing field.

Surely different classes & different confirmatin marks depending on ponies in the class ? judges decision not to to strip all ponies. Just think of the little jockey who qualified, not there fault !
