For those of you with 3.5t horse boxes (in particular the van conversions, not the bigger ones like Alexanders) where do you keep the spare tyre? I thought I could put it on one of the back doors but people have said it's too heavy. I'm wanting a tack locker and small bench seating put in the grooms area but the spare tyre takes up so much space. It's too big to fit in the very small luton and I can't think where else it could go. Any ideas?

ours fits in the space behing the cab seats, it might be a bit awkward to get to if its ever needed but does the job!

Ours is fixed to the right hand side of the back door. We had it fitted there when it was converted.

Have a look under the van by the back doors. If its a conversion there is sometimes a holder for the spare tyre that has been left on from its former life.
Ours fits on the small, very small, luton. The luton slopes downwards and the tyre fits in quite easily and has never been dislodged.
