So proud of Maisie winning Tiny Tots LR with Cosford Charelle (who also had a champion & 2 reserves in hand yesterday) then going on to be champion. We were out in the torrential downpour. Maisie was chuffed to pieces.
Also massive congratulations to Phoebe Thomas on getting her ticket. Xx
Fab show yet again. Well done Staffs committee.

the indoor at rodbaston has been passed by British snowballing and manages to hold 1.40m classes so I am sure plenty big enough for workers.

Not exc 143 workers, amy smith on her sisters connie. I shall be making a complaint to ncpa, and not supporting their show again, when entering i was led to believe that the workers were on the grass, i would not of entered if I had known it would be on the surface as I dont rate the surface much there. The arena is also imo not big enough to build a qualifying course in. Although the 12s and most of the 13s managed ok, the bigger ponies struggled. The ground was not to hard to jump on at all, everyone managed at cheshire, lincoln, three counties were the ground was more or less the same as it is at rodbaston. It also says something when even one of the judges is not best pleased that it is on the surface and not the grass. That being said, I would like to say what a pleasure it was to be judged by such a friendly and cheerful judge today. And a top tip for those jumping tommorow, unless you want to walk miles to the ring i would suggest getting there early else they will park you the other side of the showground. Ref the complaints about us moving the workers indoors 1. There is NOWHERE in the schedule were it says whether the Workers are indoors or outdoors 2. I received a number of calls as to whether the workers were indoors or out. MY answer has always been, & always will be, "it is outdoors UNLESS the going dictates otherwise. It will be published on our facebook page & website If & when a decision is made to change it" 3. A decision was made on Thursday, the earliest any of the committee could get over there as we all live a fair distance away, and was based on the horses well-fair. 4. This decision was published immediately on our Face Book page & website. 5. Rodbaston has had a lovely new state of the art surface recently installed 6. It costs us an extra £1,000 to have the in doors for the 2 days 6. I breed & compete show jumpers, certainly to a reasonable affiliated level & one of our venues is Rodbaston. Some of our horses are over 17hh. 7. BS (British Showjumping) hold national qualifiers at Rodbaston, there has NEVER been a complaint as to the size of the arena even when jumping 1.40+ classes. These riders include the Tim Stockdale, Geoff Billington & a number of Whitaker's etc 8 the HOYS finals for the workers are IN Doors !!!!!! 9. You made the above posting on "Jul 4, 2015 at 8:23pm" however you still came back & competed in the 153's on Sunday??? Please be aware the Staffs NCPA have a "ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY" and your public criticism, including implicating one of the judges opinion on the choice of surface, will be discussed at our next committee meeting

Lets see you organise a show like this and see how easy it is. God help you if you qualify for HOYS, because the fences just keep coming !!!! You can't compare Robaston to county showgrounds, this is an agricultural college. The only reason I didn't compete my lr was I've not long had surgeryon my knee and knew I wouldn't be able to run on the ground as the grass is alway quite long there, but was happy however for my daughter to ride her fr. You should be apologising for your outburst, and if I was them I would refuse any future entries from YOU

lovely well run show with lovely people. those who slate shows should be grateful people give up their time to run these shows and my advice to them is to give up showing !!! or run their own show. as for the people who leave their rubbish they really arnt the sort of people who should be using the lovely facilities we are lucky enough to have,no wonder people don't want to hold shows on their land, and its not just the kids who drop rubbish !!

Have to agree with above. My first time up to the show - is a long way for me but the stewards etc were lovely. Considering the HOYS ring ran pretty late into the day they were still lovely to all us competitors. Plus the judges took the time to watch each pony and not rush you through. Obviously I am slightly bias as a HOYS ticket always make the show seems nicer! But well done to all x
