citronella oil about 2ml , peppermint oil 2ml ,,,, dettol , or equivalent from pound shop, 10-20ml depending on quality ,,, garlic powder dsissoleved in boiling water about 2-3 tablespoons , and put through a tea strainer ,,,, otherwise it will clog the spray,,, in about 2ltrs of water , maximum 50p ,,, i think ive spent about £2.00 on fly spray this summer , we used it all last summer aswell with great succes , i was very concerned about the amount of chemicals we were spraying on our horses , so tried to go as natural as possible ,,,, play around with the mixture ,,, and do a test patch first ,,,, but it works for us

From advice from this wonderful website neen oil. 1 part need oil some shampoo and 10 parts water, stinks but works and so cheep and natural. Oh, and another, battles summer fly cream for sheath and inside ears as long as not greys as does stain. Both products saving me a fortune thanks to the advice from here.
