Well if you're absolutely sure your facts are correct and you've doubled checked that you're right about the rules then make a proper complaint. There's no point in bumping your gums on here. I almost thought we were going to manage a whole show without one of these posts!

Who would u complain to RIHS or BSPS? can some one who works and rides for a producer, lead a pony in a pretty polly lead rein class?

If you have any complaints/queries I would suggest writing to BSPS maybe ask them to clarify rules before lodging a complaint as rules can be ambiguous. There is nothing mentioned about leader apart from 'leaders can only lead their immediate family and one other exhibit'. I believe this is changing next year to be just immediate family. However it does also say animals and riders must not have received any help from a Professional Producer/Trainer, does that apply to someone who works for a Producer? Another grey area I think but I would suggest asking for BSPS interpretation.

I think the rules are quite vague if I remember rightly. I've not studied them as you can't get much more home produced than me but I know people who have previously ridden for producers season in season out then go it alone and the following season the same combination have come out as home produced.
Technically they are if they aren't then associated with anyone but people still perceive them to be producers as they have been for many years!!
I looked up the winner at RI this week and was shocked to see it was won by someone I perceived to be a producer, that said I don't know his circumstances this season so I refrained from comment.

You need more information in your post to get good feedback on this forum and, unfortunately, your post is a bit vague, that said: Was this a BSPS class or a class run by another society, e.g. P(UK), BSHA or Sports Horse (GB)? You need to check rules for the correct society for the class being run, especially the horse classes, which rules appear to be quite clear, but rules can still be broken once the horse has qualified for the RI and could quite easily have a different jockey on board. My understanding of someone working for a producer, e.g. a groom, would be a professional groom in my eyes, but the rules state that a person working for a producer can enter the ring to strip the horse but the producer can't. The only way to stop this type of activity, is to complain to the society in question, or, if you or your family, were in the class in question, pay the fee and raise an objection. If the objection has enough substance and is upheld, you will get your money back

Various people in the classes were not eligible. The winner of the PP FR is not in anyway home produced and has cobs in for owners and advertises this on her FB!!! The 2nd place in the LR, the leader Works for a producer. The 2nd place in mixed open m and m works for a producer and dont get me started with th mixed height SHP Small winner! These classes need to be scrapped! Every year the same thing happens! Why do producers feel the need to bend the rules (albeit very breakable rules depending on interpretation) and spoil it for genuine HP children!! And yes I have put in a FORMAL complaint to BSPS and RIHS.

Coming to the end of another season and this has to be the worst for tales of "Its in the bag for so and so" and don't bother going so and so will win and it turns out they do! and The judge owes them a favour because.........
Please can I encourage all to raise this at local area level at your next meetings and your chairmen will have a duty to raise it at the BSPS meetings.
We need to get together as a society and try and sort this out before it ends up killing itself I myself will certainly be raising it.
