My daughter is expecting her first baby early in 2016, please could you lovely showing people recommend the best pushchair/ chariot to buy for the little one. There are so many and we don't really know what is going to deliver, so this is what is needed It must be able to be pushed easily over fields, showgrounds, xc courses as well as up the highstreet. Ideally from birth with the attachments for a carseat. Folds down easily. East to keep clean. Will last the test of time and country living abuse Many thanks in anticipation

I would go for an Out N About Nipper 360 - maybe don't look as great as some for the first few months as you have to have attachments that go over the top of the normal seat to put the car seat into, rather than swapping the two seats over, but they are brilliant pushchairs. I had a double for my boys, bought second hand and then sold again for what I paid for it once they'd outgrown it (not physically, just they wanted to walk), intended to get a single for Isobel, but found a Britax BOB locally quite cheap and got that instead, similar design, also really good, but much longer so although it is not actually harder to move about, there is more potential for bashing the ankles of people in front somewhere busy like a showground!
I also have an ancient coachbuilt pram with mega suspension for just round the yard at home, which is also lovely. Heavier to move about, but comfy.

I had a babystyle lux it was amazing! Used the same pram for both my children got fab comments as was a lovely. My other half used to say it was the land rover of the car world went over everything whilst keeping the kids fast asleep. I cried when I sold it ?kept them warm in the coldest of winter showing days even at Croft top anyone from around there will tell u it's artic! Enjoy the pram hunt. Don't be afraid to do a quick test in the shops although u will get looked at rather odd.

I have a bugaboo buffalo and absolutely love it. It goes over everything with no problems at all. I also have a bugaboo chameleon which is nearly as good but not quite as robust.
Both reasonably expensive but if you want something tough and able to go anywhere then the buffalo is amazing!

I have a mothercare urban detour for the yard - three-wheeler, good sized wheels with pneumatic tyres and good suspension. Very very good value compared to many eg the Out and About, and it has been brilliant over all sorts of terrain.
However, 3-wheelers do not seem to fold particularly compact, and this one certainly doesn't (though is better if you allow the front wheel to swivel - I usually leave mine 'fixed' as it is better to push on rough ground, but when it comes to collapsing it goes much smaller if un-fixed) I live walking distance from my yard, so pretty much never collapse it - if we are going anywhere with it eg to shows or whatever then we just bung the whole thing 'as is' in the horsebox with a rug over it to keep the hay out lol!
For trips into town, I have a smaller quinny buzz which collapses very small and hardly takes up any boot room.
As a mum on a very tight budget, having the two (both second-hand) worked out far better for me than buying one of the super-duper expensive models. It also means I literally don't care about the all-terrain 'yard' one - it can get as muddy, crappy and 'horsey' as it likes, we've got the little town one for anything not horsey!

I've got the oyster 2. It's amazing I can't fault it! Baby absolutely loves it, it's got lovely suspension and it withstands my bumpy lane!! I've had it on grass, sand, stones you name it. It folds down to nothing and is really easy to put up and down. There's a carry cot, car seat and pushchair fixture, all can be attached and detached with one click it's very easy to clean and you can get colour packs to change colours! I have it in silver mist. I found out today it also fits a turnout rug and fleece in the shopping basket very very good pram. Wheels can be taken off to be washed too! Fab pram worth the money x
