Made to measure jackets are great, with a perfect fit, but expensive. If you are an 'off-the-peg' size it would be more economical to buy a ready made jacket and order a flat cap to match. Made to measure you will be able to choose a fabric that might not be available in most suppliers ready made ranges, thereby getting something different to the run of the mill. I have used Mrs Candy for years for made to measure for my tall, very slim, grandson because off the peg just don't fit. I know of others who have used Le Beau Cheval, Showing Selection and Alexander James and have been happy with the purchases. I have 2 Mrs Candy boys jackets for sale a 32" tweed and a 33" heavyweight navy; length of jacket and arms have been made 2" longer than the ready made jackets - downfall, they can be harder to sell because they are not 'normal' sizes! ALWAYS get the supplier to take your measurements, if they get the jacket wrong, they will have to supply another one that fits properly. If you take the measurements to the supplier, if the jacket doesn't fit you have no comeback and it could cost a lot to have it remade becoming a very, very expensive jacket. Hope the above helps

However, the Caldene tweed jackets are nice and worth having a look at if you're a standard shape.
