Such a shame it was moved down to the yard and away from the ODE area. I know the surfaces provided a better footing and despite it being well run with some lovely horses on show, it was totally devoid of atmosphere. The past few years its been up on the hill with the main event, so plenty of spectators and a 'show' vibe. The beauty of the original concept was that it was an integral part of the ODE, although with fewer classes. Apart from the people attending with the competitors I don't think anyone else on site bothered to come and watch.

A big thank you to Kelsall Hill and our sponsors, judges and stewards who helped at our show at Kelsall and of course the competitors whom without there would be no show. It was a shame we had to move to the arenas but the decision was taken out of our hands, surface or cancel.Due to the weather in the previous week the area we were going to use was needed for the dressage arenas. It was hard to juggle things round to fit in, so thank you for everyone's understanding. Results will be available shortly on the main NCPA website,

Completely understand from their perspective too. It was just a shame that because of moving down to the arenas the show atmosphere was lost.

We had a lovely show, thanks to the organisers. My daughter Hannah came a respectable 4th in the native coloured pony class. Only our second RI qualifier
