Hi just wondered what bits people use these days for mouthing, I have a section a , so small mouth, never liked the old fashioned breaking bits with keys on and now there are so many new styles, like sweet iron, happy mouth, peanut etc what do people recommend x

Something that has plenty of movement. The keys on the breaking bits are to stimulate the horse to 'mouth' on and soften to the bit. So if you are not keen on one of these, I would use a loose ring, double-jointed snaffle. I quite like a fulmer to help with steering in the early days too.
