Ok so I have a pony who is the kindest easiest pony to deal with but occasionally something upsets him and he becomes overly spooky. I wondered what anyone may use that doesn't need feeding as he is also prone to laminitis so gets no hard feed whatsoever. He gets turnout in a bald pen regularly and hay. He's not a nasty pony in the sightest he can just be a bit sensitive sometimes. Looking for something that might be used daily.

As he gets no hard feed he may be lacking something in his diet that causes the spooky behaviour . Even ponies prone to lammi can benefit from a balancer and perhaps a handful of top spec zero chaff . Or you could try the free step spray on calmer if you really don't want to feed anything but in my opinion a light balancer will do no harm . Our lammanitic old mare has a light balancer and handful of zero chaff , no grass whatever at the moment and soaked hay .

Thanks. I already use instamag but not on him. It's more something he can get into his system I'm looking for.

You could try rescue remedy in his water each day. I know a couple of people who swear by this. Good luck

I swear by balancers from a reputable company as first thing to try for any conditions that could be metabolic related. There are supplements/balancers designed for laminitic prone ponies - I use Top Spec AntiLam. No hay can be guaranteed to contain all necessary micronutrients unless it has been analysed as such.
