Well I have just got back from doing the inhand champion of champion championship class, its very quiet up there, its a shame that those who qualified and did not intend going back didnt pass their qualifiers down the line might of made for a better championship day Well we would have gone back if the lorry hadn't have decided to play up but we made it back in the end so we missed 2 of our championship classes with our SP. As for the FR M&M well done everyone but a bit bad that for your individual show you were only allowed to walk away & trot back! Complete waste of money Our pony is now retired from indoor showing, it's behaviour was somewhat to be desired & was wound up even more by the ring being near the food stall & the clanking chairs. It just doesn't cope well despite numerous attempts to help it & is obviously very scared Our results from Saturday3rd LR SP 2nd FR SP 2nd Ridden A&B 6th FR M&M Championship Sunday6th M&M Championship 1st Concours D'Elegance M&M 1st Concours D'Elegance Championship Well done everyone else! Really enjoyed the show but like everyone else not good working in facilities

Well done Cayo and okcaj - they both looked amazing as usual We ahad a good weekend - 1st in hand cob 1st in hand rescue 1st ridden rescue 3rd ridden cob Then on Sunday, first reserve in hand, 5th in Champions of classes and 6th in Ridden Showing championship. Tia was a bit cranky all weekend and not wanting to go forward which is very unusual. Then when we went to wash her off after her classes on sunday i found a huge wide splinter (an inch long) stuck right in vertically just in front of her girth between her legs. it was so far in it was below the skin line. I think it was from the bedmax shavings up in the stables. Bless her heart, she still performed - any other horse would have bucked me off. We had a really good time though - will definitely go again.

They have moved the winter champs to Valients, just been posted on the festivals website. How did you get on Ryan Rocks on sunday? Yes, we noticed that too Not sure but I think maybe Aintree was getting a bit expensive for the festival association. Ryan was great thank you. He got 2nds in ridden coloured and in hand cob, which after nearly three months off injured we were delighted with! He did a cracking go round and gallop in the championship but broke his trot in his individual show and so got a well deserved 7th We couldn't have asked much more of him though and feel he's coming on nicely. Well done to all the rosette winners and to the supreme and reserve - well deserved ;D

i really dont see how venue effects atmosphere surely its the people who attend ,i like a good atmosphere as well but draw the line at it being like a football match crowd as it sometimes has both at valients and north west , during the champs this year there were a couple of accidents with spookey ponies and i think people thought better of chanting and banging . good atmosphere yes by all means but rowdyness no thanks spoils it for so many competitors who are trying their best to calm nervous animals . we love aintree far better than valients but can understand that it may well be far to expensive to hire which is such a shame ,we will certainley go to valients to foc as wouldnt like to miss it but will take our wellies and umbrellas lol

i really loved the winters at aintree last year so i think its a shame it has gone back to vallients, but like cayo we will probably still go i would hate to miss it.
