a's and b's top two ponies(Millcroft Ghost and Blaenpentre Silver Coin) were joint marks too, class decided on a ten stride walk out and walk back in the end, neither judge had chosen a winner as both ponies had exactly the same conformation and ride marks.

Mmmmmmmmm surely a short show from each would have been more appropriate That's what we thought too. At least the conformation judge would have the same chance at looking at the ponies show as the ride judge then, even though the ride judge had a good look at the ponies conformation prior to the walkout. Seemed a fairer option to me

no one is questioning the judges decision, just commenting that a short show would seem more appropriate than a ten stride walk out and walk back, also commenting on the fact that neither judge chose one pony to win. If either judge had been judging the class on their own they would not have been able to have two ponies on the same marks as there would not have been an outright winner, although i think the marks system is a good system it has to be used in the right way.

None of the HOYS m and m classes were measured although all winners will have to have a current JMB to compete at HOYS this year.

Thanks jadet yet again Sophie and I owe it all to Becki Penny who came all the way to Cornwall via Bath to ride Riddy as Sophie is currently working 7 day shifts at North Tyneside hospital. We had a great time but had to do the journey home in two shifts Cornwall is a lovely show and the weather was fab. Riddy is out in the field having a well deserved rest and Raphael was very annoyed to be left at home!

Thanks everyone for your 'well dones' and congrats, we're very delighted with the result, which was down to a team effort, but mainly a lot of hard work from Charlie... Well done Lizzie and Lisa on your qualifications too, and the others that qualified and also well done to Carla with JT... Your turn next time!

Surely Emily Skuse is too old to do M&M FR...I thought I read that Waitwith Connie was going to be put in foal this year as Emily would be out of class this year

Don't normaly wade in on this sort of thing but do you really think Emily's mum would have entered her if she had been too old. Perhaps it is just because she is such a fab jockey you think she should be too old for the class and maybe Connie is going into foal because she has achieved evrything she could under saddle and is so much loved they could not bear to sell her.

They always measure m and m lr and fr at R Cornwall, every year- good on them, it should happen at more shows and for more classes!!
