Congratulations to the Olympia qualfier Pumphill Blackthorn and all connected Thought both the champion and reserve were very worthy ponies who went beautifully. I was very impressed with the judging. Well done both the championship was full of lovely ponies, the judging was refreshing, anything that had a blip was moved down. One tiny critism, why were the winners not asked to gallop in the championship? A special well done to Amy Simcox on Watling Welsh Magic, you have worked so hard on that chap and it really paid ofF. Other results in the D's 2nd Yswain Demetrius 3rd Llanarh Welsh Flyer

The winner of the B/C class didn't gallop in its show either but the judge knew what she liked and stuck to it you could see that , wasn't looking movement etc went for the type she liked , nice to see a versatile dartmoor through to Olympia.

The winner of the ridden shetland class bucked, napped and the wrong legged it in canter. Really not sure how it could have beaten a pony who's show was nearly perfect including a gallop! Maybe Shetlands have a different judging criteria to eveery other breed. Glad I don't show them!

Congrats to Amy Simcox and all connections to "Teddy" , and in his first Olympia class I believe !! Also well done to Aimme on Demetrius, she is doing really well for their first season together. Llanarth Welsh Dragon is a stunning D, I did not realise he is now out under saddle. Although on looking him up he is 5yr old this year ! I remember his previous owner posting lots of photos of him when he was growing up on SaddleSoap and he did well in hand including bronze medal as 3yr old. Actually all those top 3 are lovely cobs !! And I bet we see at least one of them if not more than that through to Olympia this season at some point. Looking fwd to watching the Olympia classes on Sat at Northleach Lexy.

The Cuddy had some super animals in it. I loved JH's RP broodmare who was reserve, such a good moving mare. We took the Sport Horse Championship with our 2yo, which made the long day worth it
