i personaly thought the c that was reserve was robbed in the olympia. she was stunning. I agree. To many judges are not judging whats infront of them but whos infront of them. Im sorry, but I COMPLETELY disagree as A. Squires is one of the fairest judges there is.

Squires is one of the fairest judges there is. she maybe a fair judge, but i disagree with what qualified as IMO the reserve was a much better type, and had more bone. but thats MY opinion, and the judge obviously thought differently.

Well done to all today. Pentrefelin section C's had a good day again today. Pentrefelin Little Joe was youngstock C champion in hand, and Pentrefelin Gay Lady won the C Intermediate class and was 2nd to Lady Jasmine in the Olympia C mare Qualifier. This is the 2nd time a Pentrefelin C has been bridesmaid to Lady Jasmine in the last couple of weeks, Pentrefelin Bodecia was 2nd in the HOYs qualifier to her at Cheshire County. (Edited to take out the blank space at the bottom - not sure if you had your finger stuck on the return key )

i simply love both scrumpy jacks g o r g e o u s both of them The tzar people are just the nicest and havenb't seen the pony looking better, he should have won hickstead. West wind is such a cheerful chap, always gives his best, dont know trhe sec D but MrsSquires is a very very straight honest judge. Well done all of you

Many congrats to all the winners today, it was a lovely day for a great show. All winners of D olympia ridden class were stunning ponies : Stallion (& qualifier) Menai Martino , by Menai Cosmos (corrected !!) Mare (& Res) Nebo Julie Ann (picked this one as my fav in mare class on go round !) Gelding: llanarth welsh dragon (shown in hand succesfully as youngster as colt)
We were showing As in hand and were thrilled when my mother's home bred mare (Floreat Creme de Cassis) was 2nd in a huge mare/gel class, won by Friars Tia. And also had yearling colt (Cwmsarah Arwr) and yearling filly (Amilas Cassiopeia) who were both 6th in their respective classes.
Surprised at how few cobs were there in hand, it seemed the As were best supported ! But lots in the cob ridden classes.
But a deserved D and overall champion in Danaway Scrumpy Jack, stunning colt and good to see him in flesh for first time.

thanks deejay. well done danaway scrumpy jack and jack bowerman in the supreme, gorgeous pony!! Yes that's Jack's fourth Silver Medal win on the bounce.Heard he had some teeth problems early on in the season and had two wolf teeth removed.Have to say his performance since has been sublime. His conformation, looks and action are perfection.None of this up and down stamping going nowhere, his effortless extension and phenomenal ground covering is unrivalled.A truly remarkable pony.

Just catching up on Northleach gossip and cant beleive that someome thinks that having the most bone should have it to win, there were ponies down the line in both c ridden classes that had more bone than either champ or reserve THIS IS A RIDDEN COMPETITION conformation counts but the ride is most important, The champion gave a wonderful display of balance and athletisism every time he was asked, was a lovely balanced quality pony stripped and well deserved the ticket, as bourne out by the fact that he went on under OTHER judges later in the day to take championships against perhaps even tougher competition, well done Scrumpy Jack it was the right descision , and dont let anyone tell you otherwise no matter how dissapointed they are.

Lexy, well done for the home bred mare, we were standing next to you. I asked Salima the name she said it, and I said something completely wrong, but I know you now. What a class oh my god and they kept coming in. Wonderful with your own prefix. (18 entered and 16 forward) I think
Were you the people telling Phil about flys, and the stuff they used. Well £'s later he took notice, cheaper on the internet, but wanted it now. As Tia was a real miserable mare on Sat, and was having a real winge over the flys. So if was you about the flys stuff, cheers

Well done to you with Tia ! It was not me who said about the fly stuff, must have been someone else. Lexy
