Any news on the Olympia and who qualified ? Or maybe still going on ......
Always thought it was funny that this show is on a Tuesday ! I have been before and it is a lovely show, but it does make it tricky being mid-week.

Well Done to the Exmoor and all connections lovely pony and well deserved ticket. ;D ;D ;D ;D
A few more results:
D's 1 pennal the great 2 Crugmelyn owain Glyndwr 3 Newyd Ben Hur 4 Sydneham Hebe ( sp I think) 5 Pentrepiod the Judge 6 Nebo Joni Jones
I thought all the olympia classes were well judged, the only class I was a bit confused about was the D class, I thought the winner spooked in its show so unsure how it got moved up to win, thought the origianl cob should have stayed on top, but just my opinion.

Good show - out of interest, which one was the original cob that was pulled in top ?
It may have been that he won it more on conformation than show, as he is a stunning cob. Maybe the judge saw something in the original one at top of line that he didnt like when stripped/close up. Only speculation, was not there so dont know about what spooked or not.
As further update - The D winner (Pennal The Great) was also Res Champion.
Fiona is having quite a few weeks !! Many congrats to Fi, Shona, and all the rest of the team.

the 2nd cob was originaly pulled top, I wasnt disputing that pennal the great wasnt a nice cob at all, I was just suprised the judge bought a horse up to win that spooked and seemed unsettled in the line up. In honesty non of the cobs did a perfect show and it was a strong class with lots of known cobs, it was just an observation.

Ok, just a quick one to clear up the 'spook' before I go to bed!!!
Harri was doing an absolutely fab show (and I was well chuffed). We were just coming to halt, when a horse the other side of the hedge went hurtling into gallop (made a lot of noise whatever it was doing) and we spooked. (He is an animal after all!) I think it shocked me more!
The judge asked me what had happened and I explained. I think that in light of the rest of his show and perhaps conformation (who knows!) he was willing to overlook a 'spook' when it was clear it was not for no reason.
I think that judges have got to be able to use a bit of discretion - someone dropped a bin lid in my C's face last week as I was doing my show and he looked but carried on. The rest of his show was fantastic and it's nice to think that a judge can use a bit of common sense when there is clearly a reason for a justified reaction.

Hi Photographer was Fred the cat We had a good day inspite of the frequent drenchings ! lol Just a thought , we were in the huge HOYS fr mm class well done to the winners and also those in the top 10. Wondered why some of these qualifiers give specials to all those not placed and some do not like yest . Children and ponies were soaked and had been in the ring for a v long time . All had tried their best and kept smiling . . Lots had travelled a long way to attend and as the class was so well supported and entries are £30 upwards, it would have been a nice and much appreciated gesture from area 25.
