Also well done to the Smalley Family and their lovely Dartmore LR, he looked such a picture in the evening performance. Thanks very much, I was very proud of her! And never imagined we'd do that well. She's out in the paddock now having a very well earned break! It was great to see Ellie and Brymer Be Lucky taking the reserve as well and having such a good show (I think they were reserve open ridden as well). He's such a wonderful pony. Well done to Kate Marfleet and all her success including winning the leading rider champion. And Chloe and Jacob for breaking this season's jinks. Fingers crossed it's going to continue for you and we will see him at HOYS xxx I thought it was a lovely show (not just because we did well) but it had such a friendly vibe.

We had a lovely time, and also found the show 'vibe' very feelgood and happy. The stabling allocation was a bit of a bind, having to queue whilst others decided they did'nt want to be where they had been placed but wanted to be next to their mates etc etc, but when our turn came, found them very sympathetic and only too eager to please and allocate us stables not too far from our rings, which meant my 69 yr old mother had not got miles to walk - a big thanks for that. I was pleased we did well, my hunter pony mare was 3rd in her class on Thursday, and then won her class on Friday, but must have been bitten by something in the champs and completely lost the plot so we had to leave the ring, but came out an hour later, much more chilled and won her competition pony class and went champion, which pleased me no end. Its been a long haul of 6 years to get her looking right, but its starting to pay off now, and for being such a good girl, she is being allowed to have another baby!! A huge well done to everyone who did so well, and especially to Sandy-Lee Martin, your pony is looking and going just lovely, and you looked fabulous in the concours and were totally robbed in our opinion, but onwards and upwards!! I'm looking forward to next year already. Well done Betsy and team!!
