She couldnt care less. A little off toppic, but SRs attitude was spelt out to me at Moreton Show this weekend. She took the connie in the last HOYS qualifier of the year, even though it qualified months ago and has won just about everything since. What was the need? Of course it won, and consequently took the spotlight off the pony who had just got its ticket. IMO that is very bad sportmanship. Im sure to her its just another red rossette. Lets stick to the issue here, it is not unusual for ponies to be taken out after they have qualified - in fact i've noticed it appears to be an increasingly common activity with many 2nds taking tickets this year. Plus, I believe that following taking its Hoys/Olympia tickets I dont think he had many outings until NPS champs? Where is the rule written for ANY of the Societies (apart from the NPS re. Olympia Q's) that an animal can no longer contest a class once it has Qualified? Agricultural Shows are not run so that ponies can contest yet a Qualifier. get real!! There may be other issues re morality with certain people, but not regarding this particular issue.

So why cant we continue to show in Olympia qualifiers. I have paid for lots of entries to shows with Olympias but cant contest them because we qualified earlier. It has cost me a alot of money which is wasted.

So why cant we continue to show in Olympia qualifiers. I have paid for lots of entries to shows with Olympias but cant contest them because we qualified earlier. It has cost me a alot of money which is wasted. NPS rule states - "A pony may only Qualify once. After Qualifying, a pony is ineligible to compete at further Qualifying Rounds with the exception of its own Breed Qualifying Round" Until recently, Members bought a Competition Record card and that was checked at the Ring entrance. If you had the good fortune to be Champion and Qualify, the Card was signed in the Ring by the Judge and you submitted that to the NPS Office. In the 'old days', there were not so many classes in which to compete as there are now, and no M&M's at HOYS, either, so if you Qualified early in the season, it was a little more difficult to keep a pony going that it is now. How many Q rounds you enter at is up to you, after all! And, you have been so lucky as to get Qualified. Well done, whoever you are - why don't you look forward to the final!!
