Well done everyone and well done Tracey who works just as hard as anyone else.
It always makes me laugh when people make comments on 'Hoys and Olympia ' ponies and horses !!!
It is those people that have got me to where I am today. It is them that I have watched and aspired to and learnt alot from. Instead of sitting there and being bitter about their success, watch them and learn from what you see.
Thats how I have done it with my lad and I am so proud of him and what we have achieved together

i would have to agree with a comment that it is far better to be in the top ten to an outstanding line up than at the top of a poor one.....everyone has their opinions but they shoud imo be kept to themselves not advertised on a site such as this. it only takes away from the hard work of everyone involved - competitors, judges and organisers alike .

i think at the end of the day, all judges have there own opinion on what they like and dont like, some are facey yes, but we all have a choice either go or dont go, we went and competed we didnt do too bad got through to eve and was sixth, but my other pony got through and was not even placed, judges opinion, but well run show and enjoyed it, my only bug bare is i wish they would move people from the front of the railings i think it is so off putting for cometitors and ponys

Well done to all. The black dartmoor is mine Keldspring Sirocco and was beautifully ridden by Steph and her tiny brother Alex. Thanks for his comments. He is a really a really sweet pony and he really looks after little riders even though hes only a baby himself. Taught my daughter to canter last year. Missed his HOYS ticket by one place in his only hoys class this year. I thought the supreme line up was a quality line up and the winner was a very nice pony. Actually some of the best judging ive seen for a while. I think its sad that there is a perception that you cant go to riding clubs if you have lovely ponies or ponies who have competed at a higher level. Sometimes its nice to have some fun in a less serious environment and the classes were all quite strong. Ive never been to the north west champs before but I enjoyed it and will deffo go again.

I also like the little chestnut that won the A's and B's, but the judge must have seen something in the first ridden winner that he liked as he was also reserve supreme.

Awe that first ridden pony was a star!!! A true little first ridden, I watched it go round in the championship, it went so sweet and just got on with it in amongst some big horses taking good care of its little jockey. That kind of pony is priceless!!!!

The b that won the a/b class was lovely, and did a good show in the fr, however my gut feeling was it was more an open than a fr and the judges obviously thought so too as it won the open a/b class
