Why do we all bother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Exactly. I cant believe I wasted money on my entries. What with the price of fuel as well. These people have no shame. They know who they are. By the way welcome back Shakespeare.

BSPS rule 477 section d comes to mind... I have just read the rules and don't think that any have been broken, however ..... is it ETHICAL to show a pony under a judge, from whom you bought a pony 9 months previous? just because the Rule Book states "1st of January in the current year"...... even IF it was the best in the class on the day people will question the decision of the judges. These judges have not helped themselves or the hard working "honest" judges for the season ahead. Mr Bright put Tracey Millward's Dales through to HOYS a few years ago and had her Llanarth Champion at P(UK) South (a long way for her) a few weeks ago, so maybe she has paid back a favour or too today. She is judging a HOYS qualifier this year too, so it will be interesting to see what happens there!!!!!!!!!! Mrs Smalley owned Pennal Calan Mai until just before NPS Summer Champs last year, guess who owns it now? As someone has already stated "You scratch my back I'll scratch yours" or so it seems The Summer season is only just under way and already we have people complaining about the judging. All people want is a fair crack of the whipWelcome back Shakespeare

Before I let this go any further,
I judged the performance as "themuppetshow" said I was absolutely spot on.
I gave 3 ponies top ride mark of 45, anyone of them could of won. What the conformation judge does with her mark is up to her, and for everybody who was there the three top ponies didn’t put a foot wrong. I stood on my own when judging making it fare from start to finish when watching ponies come in the ring and giving marks.
I didn’t have a clue what the conformation judge liked, Ive have never meet her before let alone judged with her.
I would appreciate it if you get the marks before your comments.

We watched the class too.How could you give the same mark to both the Fell and the D's, if you were judging fairly???

Can somebody post the marks for the ri class ? I'm sure when publised we will be able to get a clearer picture of where both judges were coming from. I watched several classes On thursday and was not happy with the end result, however when reading the marks it was obviously the conf judge who kept ponies high up the lineup after far from satisfactory performances!

Just wanted to say I watched this section and the judging for me appeared spot on!!!!!!! We actually had a pony in the class, he didn't behave, and his marks reflected this. He didn't get placed. The judges stood apart throughout and only came together after the mark sheets were being added up.

O you’ve realised now it was a fell not a dales??
Two differant breeds can have the same mark, or did you not know that?

what really gets my back up is the people on here slating judges who are not paid to judge and get criticised for their opinions. Why was this fixing on the ride side of the marks? If a pony performs well whether it be the judges cup of tea or not it should get the mark it deserves. I had this conversation this morning with the said judge. I doubt the top three ponies did anything seriously wrong for the marks to be what they were.

this is such a shame, until recently this thread had been purely results and congratulations to those who have acheived the results others can only wish for. it is unfortunate that the judging described here does happen, but most of the showing world is aware of it already so why moan everytime a blindingly obvious result is confirmed! it is also very easy to blame the judges for being bias, but perhaps attention should be turned to the competitors who are, in this instance, pushing the rules.
please can we return to the clean and congratulatory chat that has been and if you know who is going to win any particular class - place your bets!! you may become very rich indeed.

If a pony performs well whether it be the judges cup of tea or not it should get the mark it deserves. Agree. Problem is some judges are not judging the ponies. Come on give us some credit. Also people that live in glass houses should not throw stones eh Nat

Full marks and placings for the RIHS LR and FR Heritage classes are now on The Show Register (they are taking forever doing shows for the supreme at the moment, so am using my time wisely!!). Marks for the RIHS Heritage Small Breeds will go up in the morning.

No dis-respect to the ride judge who I travelled to go under today and would do again.
