Had a great time at the show today - one thing I cant understnad is why the in hand classes had the huge outdoor arena and big ridden classes with big horses were packed into half of the indoor??? Sorry to gripe - it was a lovely show with fab rosettes and we loved our sash! Thank you x

I had a lovely morning, was pulled in 2nd in the A&B's but dropped to 4th but was still very pleased with my girlie, it's only her 3rd time out and she has a tendancy to stick the brakes on in the trot up. But today she flew! so am very pleased with our result!! Well done everyone!!

Not long got back, it was a well organised show with an amazing standard of competition, with some large classes. My only critism was the quality of the inhand judge, but hey thats showing and I will mark it down never to go under her again, not sour grapes as was placed but I do feel that if competitors pay an entry fee they should be judged on their complete show and not just on the go round Well done Hannah and Scott an excellent show with and excellent standard of horse will be looking forward to the July show now

Think it is the same all over for the inhands they do seem to fall into the lower classes a definate after thought And in the West Country we are so far away so no one will travel we get SP/RP or worse or to do M&M clueless so anything goes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have to agree the in hand judging was a bit unusual and at £17 an entry i think the standard of judge should have been higher, but as you say thats showing.

Aren't you supposed to ride your horse/pony in a snaffle bridle when competing in an Equitation class? If so how come the reserve had a double? One other pony in the championship was wearing a very ill fitting pelham!! Please correct me if im wrong.

Sounds like another fantastic show, well done the Prestige team. I hope we can come to the next one. I applaud the inhand judge for taking the 'go round' into consideration as some judges seem to ignore bad behaviour and still place the animal. At the end of the day, the judges decision is final.

I totally agree but when I hear competitors asking for feedback on their placings and I hear things like 'well he is very clean', didnt place you because his clip hasnt grown out (its April for god sake not the middle of summer)' but taking the go round into consideration doesnt allow you to see the confirmation of the animal, if the judge had been brave enough to switch the placings round after the individual shows then I would have applauded her but she didnt, her placings stayed the same, confirmation faults etc were not taken into account

there were some very worthy winners in the in hand classes but there were a lot of faults overlooked especially conformational faullts among some of those placed, if you aren't going to take that in to consideration and you are purely going off manners why bother asking age and looking round the horses if it obviously doesn't matter? you can't please all of the people all of the time and everyone has their day and speaking of days it was a lovely one and there were some lovely horses and beautiful rossettes x
