Hi Ferret! I was watching the Picton connie/new forest class with one eye and the same section of the Olympia class ( in that lovely big arena) with the other eye! I actually thought the Picton's was a better class overall as far as animals were concerned..although the way of going was understandably 'green' as it should be for genuine novices. Of course I can't remember every animal in the Picton's but I thought the pretty grey pulled in first originally went very nicely but perhaps went down a place as the second had a bit more bone (?). The third placed dapple dun connie was doing his first ever ridden class so looked very green..but on conformation I got the impression that Michael Sharply was very impressed as he spent a lot of time looking at him. This pony had won the Supreme M&M in hand at Otley the week before. Can't remember too much about the rest of the class other than there was'nt a bad one in it imho..even to the bay (NF ?)at the end of the line. Waddya think?

Hi 2 connis .....thanks for being constructive yes i loved the one pulled top , i was the grey pulled second and moved up to top ...think it was possibly the bone thing.. but would of been happy stood second to the pretty grey . It was nice to be in a class that had true novices in it as mine and the other grey are 4 yr olds and only been out once or twice . Liked the dun too , its good to see some quality connis coming thro the classes as they are sooooo hard to find ! Thanks for your honest comments as its good to have an unbiased opinion

Taking Flash for the Olympia. Dain is also riding our New Forest in both M&M workers May I ask how you did with the New Forest What classes did you do Dain did the HOYS M&M class. They had one pole down, number 6. But Dain really enjoyed the round as those present will agree with, especially the bank !!!!!!!!!!!! After his landing, I told him "Count them, don't rub them"

I agree, it was a very good class, and as they were all true novices, they went very very well. i'll look forward to seeing how they all get on later on in life. I'm sure they will all do well and be worthy winners. for the Connies!!
