Hi there, I have recently had some extra days come available for freelance stable/yard work, training, grooming, show prep and also am experienced instructor. From adults to children. I'm based in Cheshire , South Manchester but do travel. I'm 5f2 and suitable from section a to big hunter. I have a 'office' Job but my horsey work is my thing and something I adore. I love horses and any horses I work alongside I treat like my own and can be trusted. I have ridden and competed all my life. My Mum is a dressage trainer. I've worked for families with the highest standards and groom, worked and trained show ponies and horses right up to HOYS/RIHS level and been to HOYS it's self! I have had amazing opportunities growing up having lessons with top dressage and show jumping trainers ( although rusty with my jumping ;-) ) I have a strong seat and soft hand. I also was a member of Cheshire Hunt North Pony club most of my childhood so I am old fashioned hard working groom. For 7 years I've worked for a family of whom trusted me with Hunt Masters top horses and his wife's affiliated dressage pony and top show ponies. I specialise mainly and am passionate about M&M flat although I love all disciplines. More recently I have been working for another family and am continuing having brilliant time affiliated M&M working hunter game! Which I'm loving. :-) Totally experienced in the ring as a rider and love to groom. Very professional, I think with my own head and my nick name is 'Show Pony Mummy' I adore young horses and have a patient relax but firm attitude. Please pm me if you have any other question or opportunities References available Many thanks Laura :-) Read more: horsegossip.proboards.com/user/10943/recent#ixzz46mTYL2o4

Good question Oriana , also unsure what do as I really enjoy this show and great that the committee think about adding extra classes for verity however I feel a 8am even 9am start would mean not so late going into the evening. Do you have pre-entry numbers for the inhand as this may help gage timings for classes
Many thanks in advance :-)

Due to relocation of family i have been with for over 6 years I am available for riding, stable duties and any help that may be required with horse or yard. Happy to work/help for rides.
I am highly recommended as a sympathetic, properly trained rider with a light seat and good hands.
I have high standards and prefer to help someone who will appreciate that. I am not necessarily looking for show rides, but that if that were an option it would be a bonus. I am 5f2 10 stone very happy, loyal person who is extremely dedicated.
I was a member of Cheshire Hunt North Pony club from the age of 4 right through to 16.
I have ridden for and can provide references from Hunt Master (schooling, ridden exercise, hunt rides, hunting) Affiliated Showing Judge (ridden and in-hand showing) Successful Home-Producer/Owner at HOYS level I have helped qualify ponies for HOYS, RI and wins at all major showing championships by helping with exercise and schooling at home as well as on show days. I have achieved success in ridden showing myself not only through my expertise in the ring, but also through the training and exercising done to keep ponies in top form.
I am based just outside off the A34 Cheadle, Cheshire and anything or anyone looking for little or lots please do get in touch.
Many thanks x

Hello ;D Looking for some help with riding the young ponies before turning away for winter. Maybe once or twice a week when I am down. The darling I need more help with is 13hh coloured Traditional. 3 years old. Very sweet lad hacking out on his own but I just need some help whilst Im on the ground..you would be riding! After that a nice hack out on him whist I ride 15h coloured cob 5years! I myself am a working Mum so if you have a baby and want just once a week to have a ride and get back to it after having a baby or someone who works all the time. All I ask is you can ride and are kind. Just need someone who can commit no costs..no stable duties. Bare in mind also if this would be of interest..there would be no pay involved at the mo however next season I will require a show groom and that would be a paid so more opportunities will be coming up. Please PM me if any other questions Many Thanks Laura

I think when it comes to being unplaited I think you should check with the hunt. I know the hunt I have been out with expect you to be plaited. I would also try and go on a childrens meet first that way you will find out how your pony will act. Its not so continuously fast with more check points and jumps tend to be optional. It will also give you the chance to learn about the etiquette during a hunt and how to keep the hounds safe etc.
But again give your local hunt a call before hand and they should be happy to discuss.
In regards to boots. Being caught on fences can be an issue plus over heating and rubbing. All just depends on your pony. But we go without
Final thing take a hip flask!! Keep you warm and give you some courage ;-) (over 18's of course lol)
Oh and HAVE FUN!! x

This was such a great show last year..although a very long day. I won the Senior Equitation Championship, Overall Equitation Section Championship and SHP under 15h Championship. Prizes from blue chip wonderful..Rosettes gorgeous, sashes in all classes I think to 3rd if Im correct. (only got red ones last year ;-) ) and section Championships sashes rosettes and qualifying rosettes. We had three ponies on the lorry and driving home we couldnt see lol! There was a few hickups as with timings but i hear to believe that the committee has had a shift around and new people coming in and old people leaving which has been beneficial.
Wont be going this year as having a quiet year but as Riding club champs go I hope its supported as I feel this event would deserve it
Good luck everyone

Thank u :-) The uk showing team have done rEally well in a short amount of time and 3 sides you could watch down within the indoor. There were a few things I could gripe at but after changing venue not cancelling they did a fantastic job. Wish I did workers though!! Ring/ground and jumpers were amazing x

dissaponited that equinational didn't get any of my class from today and in the evening I had to ask the photographer to get a picture in which he replied something very snotty back to me. IM SoRry but at championship shows the photographers that are taken on to do he pics should be responsible and reliable no matter what to get a picture of all classes. Grrrrr rant over lol
