If I hear any more I will post here.

Goodness, I have never heard of such symptoms unless she hit her head or something.
Let us keep fingers crossed that she continues to recover and maybe a eye could be kept on facebook and news passed on.

Julie Crowley is still in hospital and is improving all of the time, she has been kept in for observation. She is surrounded by loyal and loving friends who have ensured that her beloved dogs at home are being looked after. Hoping that she has a speedy recovery!

Julie Crowley is recoverying well in hospital. To quash all rummours that have been passed around HOYS - Julie doesn't have a heart problem, her heart didn't stop on the way to hospital and she wasn't dead on arrival. Julie is still in hospital in Birmingham and we all wish her a speedy recovery.

I can not comment on the medic response time, but I have to say that Grandstand media and all the other officials at HOYS were fantastic. Espescially a lady cally Felicity from Grandstand Media, who was a great help. Nothing was to much trouble.

So glad she is ok, what a horrible thing to happen. I hope she had friends with her when it happened. I collapased at HOYS a few years ago and I have to say the medics were fab, they were there within minutes and I was put on a stretcher and the medics really did race me through to the first aid room so quickly.

I don't think it's right to make judgements unless we know the circumstances, it could have been deemed unsafe to move the lady, the important thing is she is recovering.

To be fair the paramedics were with her quite a while before they put the screens up, I suppose they were getting their priorities right. Get well soon Ms Crowley.

The medics rushed past me as we were reentering the ring caldene. She was conscious but looked very ill, im sure she had blood coming out of her ears unless she hit her head. i'm glad they put screens up and realised that a stretcher was more apt than a wheelchair.
Wishing her a speedy recovery! X

I was there with friends when it happened. Mrs Crowley appeared to have fallen over backwards and looked very poorly. We found her mobile phone in her handbag and rang the recent numbers until we found someone who was aware of her medical history. We also asked for the Grand Media Staff to call for an ambulance and put Mrs Crowley into the recovery position. The paramedics took 17 minutes to arrive and then spent time working with their patient until they transferred her to the ambulance. The St Johns team were out of their depth I think. I did ask the Grand Stand Media staff to ask via tannoy if there was a Dr in the audience - but they declined. The Grand Stand Media staff were very slow to respond and didn't appear to know quite what to do - they were very nice after everything had been sorted though! The team that cleared the area afterwards were laughing and joking - this upset my friends husband so much he asked them to show some respect. I hope Mrs Crowley has a very speedy recovery and that Grand Stand Media have learned a few valuable lessons.

I would personally like to say a huge well done and thank you on behalf of Julie, to my mother Beverley Moore. We were up at HOYS competing and planned to go home on the Friday night. However due to this traumatic event with our good friend Julie Crowley, we stayed up there until Sunday night. Having had ponies in the ring whilst the event occurred, Mum rushed straight to the hospital less than an hour later. She then returned to the hospital again on Saturday and Sunday. She has been on the phone to the hospital every single day and they have informed us that Julie will be well enough to return home in the next few days. Im sure Julie is truly grateful to have such a great friend. Get well soon x

I would like to say a huge thankyou for all the help and get well messages I have received since I collapsed at Hoys. A very special thankyou to Bev Moore who left her daughters in the middle of the sp classes to go to the hospital and those who looked after the girls & ponies to enable her to do so. I feel very lucky to have such good friends and it is very reassuring that when the chips were down I really didn't have to worry. I suffered a small skull fracture, bu t am now on the mend. Sadly I was unable to judge at the Heritage Championships this weekend - but I do consider that I had a very lucky escape. Thanks once again. Julie
