Just recieved an email from BSPS. The M&M Final will be 19th December at approx 9am. Excercise 8 - 9am. Three tickets per exhibitor and no extra tickets will be available. We will have to purchase seat tickets for any extra friends and family.

Is there no way of buying extra exibitor passes which allow you to the stables like at HOYS? Im sure someone told me you could at olympia before???

That doesn't seem like many tickets - we would need 4 just for those going with pony! Let alone the jockey's father (who may be tempted to make an appearance!!) and of course the very proud breeder! Maybe you have to approach Olympia direct for extra tickets? Surely it is all money to them? I am sure the show jumpers get more than 3 per exhibit when you think of the families and owners; grooms etc.

Dont panic!!!! yes you can buy extra passes but not from BSPS. I did phone today for extra passes but they will not be available until mid November. ( about £55 each I think) I will post the number when they are ready so that the very nice lady does not get inundated with calls before then.
Another thing I forgot to mention is that Olympia is stricter thank HOYS with Vaccination certs. They have to have been done during the 6 months up to Olympia. No mention of height certificates from BSPS, does anyone know if they are needed?
This is our 9th qualifier, so if there is anything I can help with let me know.

Thanks Deejay - luckily all vacs up to date but we were unsure on height certificates as well but in the rules for qualifiers it says no height certificate is needed and havent found anywhere else that said one was needed, but I think my mum was going to call and check.

How soon after you've qualified do you get all the entry/stabling info through. First time at Olympia for me I qualified at the heritage champs x

first time for all of with the BSPS. We should all get confirmation when they have checked membership etc. Hopefully we will get all the information we need then. The NPS were quite late sending the passes, running order etc. Probably about the same time as HOYS passes.
BSPS are very helpful if you have a query and email them.

I competed veterans last year, had excellent time, will be watching this time as always one place away from qualifying again!! Last year we arrived sat between 3-5pm, took box to park then came back stables, got everything sorted then had a veteran meeting-v.helpful. We bought shopping tickets for the sat eve so we stayed around, then went back to box for the night. Got shuttle bus back to Olympia in morn 6ish, took horses into main arena about 8ish then class at 10ish. Indoor stables lovely and warm, easy to leave all your gear(I just went to the toilets for a final spruce up before the class!) had a really amazing time, won a lovely shield, rosettes etc, only trouble is no time to have a celebratory drink as you have to leave Olympia with your horse straight after, however we made up for it when we all got back home! One thing I will say is the VHS are so organised and helpful, just ask them for help. Oh and do make sure your vaccinations are all ok, they thoroughly check! Have fun and enjoy xx

Ponyfun you may be able to help me. I thought my vacs were up to date and I rang my vets to confrm and they said that his annual flu jab is next due in March (which is what I thought). However, Olympia is run under FEI rules which state that flu jabs need to be done evry 6 months. My vets are unsure whether I will have to restart my vac programme again or whether he can just have another booster now (as its less than 6 months to Olympia). So confusing but now I am starting to panic as my vets aren't being very helpful. Any help would be very much appriciated. :-)

From NPS letter.
It is imperative in order to gain admission to the show that your pony's vaccinations comply with the Olympia requirements. Those ponies that receive a flu vaccination once a year will be allowed to compete, provided their most recent vaccination has been within the 6 month period prior to (date of Olympia). Unless your pony complies with this requirement you will not be permitted access to the show and proof will be required.
Our pony had his 12 month flu vac in August, so is within the 6 month time. If yours was last March then it looks like you will have to have another one. Probably best to check with the vet. Hope this helps.

Then you have the choice of having another one done in March to stay on your usual annual programme or taking the new date as your annual booster date from now on - guess that depends if you qualify for anything FEI again Also will depend when he last had a Tet jab as these are usualy bi-annual?? Surprised your vet couldn't help you, ours are clued up on this sort of thing as so many showjumpers/dressage horses have to comply with FEI rules....perhaps ask to speak to senior partner??

In a bit of a hurry but will just say yes has to be within 6months of Olympia but I think it must b longer than 6 weeks before Olympia! It is confusing, I took all FEI rules and passport to my vet and he went over it so many times to be sure! Maybe try another vet to have a look, you should have FEI rules come through with Olympia veteran stuff. If I think of anything more helpful re vaccinations, I'll post! X

Extra passes for competitors are now available. Look on the back page of your little Olympia booklet Timetable. Useful Contact Numbers, bottom left hand side EVENT MANAGEMENT, horsepower international ltd. Passes are £60 each.
Getting closer now, hope the weather is kinder than the past couple of years. Good luck everyone going.

Not a lot of room lauren, much the same as HOYS, enough for a bale of haylage/shavings.

when you go to the stable managers office actually inside Olympia, ask for a lorry pass, you can actually get into the park at seagrove rd through the barrier without anything and only go to the kiosk with your pass when you want to leave. the entry fee for the vets includes the 24 hr parking fee it is a totally safe huge gated carpark with 24 hr security, and the shuttle buses are excellent and drivers very friendly if you chat to them! they run allthe time to and from olympia (stable gate), hardly any waiting time at all
