Have just borrowed a dvd of a friend and have not watched it yet, sounds like i am in for a real treat!!!! ;D

Being an old fartie, I remember the songs very well. The film is brilliant, Julie Walters is just fantastic. We were in Skiathos last year, where the ferry sails from, to the island (Skopelos) where the film was shot. Skopelos is on our list of 'must go there' this year. My favourite song is 'When all is said and done'. Go onto You Tube and listen to it .......... will bring a tear to your eye. Meryl Streep is also one of my favourite actresses, first saw her in Kramer Vs Kramer with Dustin Hoffman, another great actor! Just to add, many people went to the open air cinema in Skiathos Town to watch the film last year. There was a big hype on the island about the film. Many of the male holidaymakers who were staying at the same place as us, were talking about how good the film was and said that they wouldn't have gone to watch it at home because they thought it was a 'girly' film, but really enjoyed it! Big softies!

I love this film. My friend plays one of the main hotel staff and is in loads of shots. We grew up together and went to a local dancing school. She is so talented and I am so proud of her. I nearly cried in the cinema. Soppy cow aren't I!!!!
