We did intro b a few weeks ago, and what worked well for us was that it was my little girls first time off lead rein in a comp without the distraction of other ponies in the ring. Our pony gets a bit excited when trotting around with other ponies at pony club, so without that distraction Scarlett was able to focus on riding the test rather that slowing the pony down, I think we will wait untill next season to enter FR showing as the risk of canter is to high at the moment.

My daughter started doing dressage when she was 7, I remember she did prelims 4 & 7 repeatedly, the best advice her instructor gave was for her to learn her test rather that have it read. we pegged out letters in the garden and she ran around to learn it, she was very successful with her first ridden pony, it also helped her showing as if you can learn a test a figure of eight show is easy.
