Does anyone have a sec D with this prefix? I have a mare called Rawcliffe Sian, her dam was Rawcliffe Lady and sold at the same time I bought Sian at 7 months old. I know the lady that owned them bred a few others with the Rawcliffe prefix and wondered if anyone has heard of them or owned them?

Hi drea,
I bought Sian off a lady called Heather, who had bred her (who I believe was originally from Yorkshire) 10 years ago at 7 months old. She did say at the time that Rawcliffe Lady (whose stable name was Katy at that time) had won quite a bit inhand up in Scotland, so I'm guessing she made her way back there when she was sold? (both Katy and Sian were near Chester in North West England at the time I bought Sian, and Katy was sold a couple of weeks after I bought Sian).
I wonder if it was Heather who your friend sold her back to?

Thanks tracingequines, I know of Rawcliffe Lady, Rawcliffe Flying Lady (which I believe may have been Lady's first foal) and Rawcliffe Sian who I own. Don't think Rawcliffe was a proper stud so to speak, more of a private prefix

Rawcliffe is a proper, registered prefix so surely that makes her a proper stud, if a small one. Nothing wrong with that!

Rawcliffe Commander, chestnut gelding
RAWCLIFFE LADY, has had 3 foals (one is Sian)
Rawcliffe Sian, who you know about
Rawcliffe Yorkshire-Rose, has had one foal
The 5th one was a TB so not part of the Rawcliffe Welsh stud, lol
