I have been looking through the timetable and cannot seem to find any NPS or Homeproduced for welsh section A, is this now coming under the mixed M and M small bred classes?

Yes probably. There's so much to fit in, the only way to fit it in the time table is to categorise the M&M's into small & large breeds (or A/B, small exc welsh, C/D etc).

Thanks Snowflake, although i appreciate that but the classes were so large last year i cannot see how they can combine them? not only that but they have split the large breeds from the welsh C's and D's so i would have imagined they would have done the same with the A and B classes. So far its only worth me going for one day

So far its only worth me going for one day I'm not sure - the Equifest team are very helpful, try sending them a PM or email & they might split the classes anyway if they have huge entries.

lauren - should you techincally be in home produced? With your small stud operation I understand that you do not take an income from it but doesnt quiet put in you the same level as those with one pony who have it on DIY etc?? Please dont shout me down over my comments was just musing as I think your one of the few that fall between all class rules? PS I'm not taking lottie to equifest so in no way is this post aimed and anything related to competiting together

Home produced rules are impossible to make fair to all as far as I can see. I too have a small stud but all ponies, whether IH or under saddle, used to be produced from home with no professional help, as far as I'm concerned genuinely home produced! Daughter did a few classes, then had to stop as she moved her ridden to a livery yard, DIY impossible because she travels so much for work but they only got the boring bits done, all the schooling and actual show production, trimming, bathing, deciding on feeding etc she did herself. There are so many different situations to consider.

I thought you lost he home produced qualification if you ran a horse related business ie a stud that regularly sells youngstock?

I dont take an income for producing and none of mine have been produced. Ok, I have my own place but that doesnt mean I produce in any way shape or form. If you go through the class rules I am more than elediable to enter the class should i wish to do so.

I thought you lost he home produced qualification if you ran a horse related business ie a stud that regularly sells youngstock? The stud is not a buiness and has not been classed as such. To date we have only bred one filly under our prefix which was only shown twice last year, we have none expected this year and maybe we will decide to put one mare in foal for next year so we havent gained any profit at all. We still own the only foal we have bred, it has not been sold. I am not that desperate for a rosette to enter a class unfairly.
