Yes there are loads of classes you don't have to qualify for! In fact I'm not sure there is a ex-racehorse qualifying class? Stables are something like £100 for duration. Send an SAE to the Equifest address (on their website) & they'll send you a schedule with all those details. Yes you can buy bedding there, there is an official fodder there, you can also take your own. Classes depend if you're a member they are reduced (membership is very cheap, however you do not require to be a member even for Championship classes!) - you can also enter classes at the show, if you've entered other classes before hand. However you have to enter those the day before the class - extra details & cost will be in the schedule so send off for an SAE. We have stayed in a Caravan before - much nicer than most horseboxes LOL, so they're a good choice a lot of company's drop off & set it up for you at the showground. There is a hotel just as you turn into the showground (Premier Inn I think) & there's also lots of other hotels near the showground. A tent is ok if nice weather but not too nice if it rains! Never stayed in one myself at a show! When you get the schedule it is very simple compared to a lot of other shows, no membership required! So send off for an SAE! & btw lovely horse, good luck, sure you'll do fab! ;D

I used motohome last year - but we hired a campervan for the duration, might be worth a look as they were very good and delivered. Let me know if you can't find their details and I'll dig them out. Even though my 3mth twins didn't come and stay in the end :-) we were very glad of it after the rain thursday!!
