The message was on ribblevalleystud.com guestbook and was dated May 2007 Name: Astrid Location: Spain Comments: To my dearest friends Sue and Paul. Thank you so much for letting us share the most wonderful Welsh pony mare in the world, Ribble Valley Ruby Star. She is giving us so much joy!!! Just as you do too. And now we´ve got another one, Ribble Valley Springers Bold as Brass who is proving to be a real dressage pony. I´m absolutely thrilled about our trip to the Royal Welsh and can hardly wait until July!!!! Thank you both for coming into our

I have now found out all about our lovely boy the lady rom ribble valley stud bought him from yorkshire and said He went to a friend of mine in Northern Spain, she is the chef d' equipe of the Spanish junior dressage team. Sid was very, very happy with them and she sorted out all of his hang ups. Her 12 year old son rode him in pony F.E.I. Dressage shows and last year he was the bronze medalist in the Spanish Pony Dressage ChampionshipsSadly he died shortly after. It was one of those freak accidents. He was turned out in his field, he galloped down the field turned sharply to go in a different direction and his leg broke above the knee. My friend got him to the vet hospital immediately.Had the break been below the knee they would have operated on him but it was in such a bad place that operating on him was not an option. we will always love n think about him he has left a real hoof print on out hearts

I am sorry to read about his accident , but at least you know he was loved by his owners. By the sound of it both you and they will have some wonderful memories of this pony.
