Has anyone got one of these or can recommend a company that sells them? Would like to know the pros's and con's. I remember there was a previous thread but can't seem to find it or maybe it was on another forum. Not sure if its a better idea to just put a shower in one of the spare stables but think that would be more work. www.hothorseshower.co.uk/Like the idea of the first one

I have just spoken to a different company about the Cointra shower - apparently it is exactly the same as the Ecotemp L5 but it can also be used indoors with a flue.
Just off to check the bank balance before ordering one!

It is the same shower at the same price but I've just read on the 'Showerking' website that it isn't portable & should be intalled by a gas registered professional, whereas the £179 option is designed as a portable shower unit - looks like I'll be getting the £179 one instead!
Might be worth calling & checking about installation first.

I got a hot horse shower for my birthday and can HIGHLY recommend them. It saves loads of time. It is a lot better than I expected, I wasn't sure there would be enough pressure and that the temperature would be constant but it is fantastic.

The one I have is the mobile one the website address is www.hothorseshower.co.ukI thought it was a bit expensive when I first looked but glad i went for this one. You can even take it to shows with you as long as you take a hose and of course theres somewhere to connect the hose to.

The thing is aswell, if you say horse/equestrian its another £50 on top - if you buy a outdoor shower like this one that runs from gas to keep it hot then its not as expensive! And we compared it to the horse showers and its exactly the same but different badge! I love ours, best thing we ever bought for a long long time! www.amazon.com/Eccotemp-L5-Portable-Tankless-Outdoor/dp/B000TXOJQ4

Can I jut ask.............. I'm on a livery yard so can't install a permanent shower. I have looked at all the links on this thread, and I'm sure it said they had to be installed by a gas engineer, or used within a gas appliance law/standard. So as someone who needs a truely portable shower, how can they be used safely and stay very portable??? I had been looking at the nomad ones. I bath my boy fortnightly, if not showing, and he loves hot water.

As long as you have the shower, gas bottle and access to water its 100% portable

Another question! if buying a camping one, to save the extra cost that anything named equine adds on!, how do you change the shower hose and head to a longer horsey one??

Watchbank - did your shower come with everything you need or did you have to buy extra connectors etc?
Chalky284 - I don't think all the 'horsey' ones come with a 'horse' hose as standard although one of the companies says they will send it free if you 'like' their Facebook page?!

Go to Wickes (or similar) and you can buy all sorts of shower head attachments, hoses etx when it gets really hot (when) you can have a cool power shower yourself!!

I bought one from Fridayfox.co.uk
Arrived next day, with everything you need including a very long attachment for horses and a really fantastic heavy-weight shower head with lots of different settings.
I have to say I was very, very sceptical and did not think it would be hot enough or powerful enough to cope with washing off after a day's hunting or with doing M&M manes and tails, but it is BRILLIANT.
It took horsey husband 10 mins to install.

The 'Mobi V 17' holds 17 litres of water - I presume that's enough to wash & rinse off a horse?

I've got the Ecotemp L5 and still getting to know it! On the whole it works really well but I am having issues with the water temperature as it sometimes cools down or heats up. To be fair though, I haven't had a chance to phone for advice and I know from other forums that the seller is usually very good with offering advice. It certainly made the process of washing tails at the beginning of the year a much more pleasant experience. I bought mine without the trolley and ordered a cheapish sack truck for chaining the gas cylinder and got a friend to weld a hanging part for the shower.

I have the Ecotemp L5 and LOVE it However you do need to buy a longer attachment for it and i don't think it is massively portable as the gas bottle is heavy and with all the hoses etc it's quite bulky. If you are considering putting one in a spare stable as a permanent fixture they would be brill for that....hot running water LUUUUURRRRVVEELY
