It was with great sadness that we had to say goodbye to Dolly on 18th April at the age 19 years. She was an amazing mare and loved by all who knew her. Throughout her showing career she was a very successful Small Riding Horse, and then went on to compete in Veteran Horse Society and 15 + classes. Dolly's highlights include 1st at Windsor and Reserve Champion at Olympia 2010. Champion Suffolk County and Supreme 15 + at Equifest in 2011.
Dolly had never been lame in her 19 years when she suffered a sudden attack of Laminitis. After many weeks of treatment, the pain was too much for her to bear and we felt the time had to come to say goodbye.
We would like to say a big thank you to The V.H.S and 15 + for giving us the opportunity to compete Dolly when she was not ready to retire.
Georgina x

This is such sad news It must have been a terrIble tIme:( but remember her for all she was and her amazing showing results. You must be so proud of her and what she achieved especially winning supreme at Equifest. Me and my old boy won supreme15+ at Equifest this year and your name is stIll very proudly engraved on the shield which is in my living room. I think veteran showing really does give them another chance to show that they are still amazing xxx
