R.I.P chilli and hello olive and pepper

well this isnt what i would be expecting to write on here but here goes,

i own 2 cats a 1yo black female named olive (press for short) and a 5month old ginger male named chilli(bean for short).
i live on quiet a quiet street and my cats usually go out and play when it goes dark they always stay together and always stay close by and come home as soon as they are shouted.
last night i was asleep on the couch with chilli till about half eight when he went out by quarter to nine mt O/H woke me saying he had a bad feeling and olive kept running in crying and calling so i went out and was shouting chilli as normal when he never came home as this is so out of characture for him i imediatley paniced and went straight into search mode to no avail when my O/H shouted me as he did the hairs on the back of my neck stood on end,he pointed to a mark in the middle of the road so i went to investigate and found it was blood with ginger fur stuck in it straight away i was hysterical crying screaming i need to find him he my baby so i came inside to compose myself and had already come to the conclusion he would be dead under a bush in on of the local gardens by 11.45pm i had all but given up and was heartbroken and exhausted when i went to check on final garden that we had looked in about 4 times already as i turned round i seen my little chilli hobboling over the road i imediatley ran over and scooped him up in a towel as i knew it wasnt going to be pretty we rushed him to the emergancy vets where on closer inspection we found he had no skin left on one os his hind legs and it is badly broken i was then devastated by the news that he will have to have the leg amputated as it is beyond repair im sat here now writing this waiting for a phone call that will tell me the fait of my little boy because if his pelvis is fractured it wouldnt be possible to fix the fracture as well as remove the leg i will keep this posted and upto date to let you know how my little chilli bean is getting on i will also put some pics on of my two precious moggies

thankyou all for your kind comments ive just spoken to the vet and he still hasnt had his xrays but will be doing later but when i spoke to the vet this morning he said the prognosis wasnt looking to good has he still hadnt been to the toilet for a wee will post later x

well my pleas seem to be working he has no fractures of the pelvis but still hasn't passed any urine but the vet has given him a repreaval of 24 hours but he suspects nerve damage of the bladder and bowel but if he doesn't wee then he will have to be PTS as the toxins in his urine will make him very poorly if he doesn't get rid of them, will post as soon as i hear any more x

thankyou every one so much for all the finger crossing and hope but sadly today little chilli had stll not passed any urine and the painkillers were having no effect and he had started to deteriorate and we had to make the awful decision to have him put to sleep at lunch time it was the hardest decission i have ever had to make we have brought him home and laid him to rest in the back garden where he used to catch his worms he will be missed greatly and we will never forget him R.I.P little man love you always

Thats realy sad iv got 5 cats , 2 are just kittens, they are house cats, as we have had to many killed on roads, have a big hug

well my cats are now house cats and will never be going out again i dont know if i could go through that again i feel much better today knowing he is no longer suffering i will never forget him and will always love him millions and he will have a special place in our hearts, my O/H is going to build a large pen in the back yard with all fun things for cats in so they can still see the outside world,

i now have no corners left on my carpets where my olive is pining and cant be left on her own as she has started to suffer seperation anxaiety i didnt want to get another cat straight away but for olive as well as myself and O/H we have been and got a new kitten another ginger tom who is only six weeks old and he has brought some light on what has felt a very dull time we have named him pepper as in chilli pepper i will post pics as soon as and thankyou again to everyone for all the lovley comments xxx

aww thankyou hes not filled a gap just made another hes settled in fantastic and he has so many likenesses to chilli i think chilli would be very happy to see him here they would play for hours xx

We had to have a cat put down 2wks ago- cancer- went out and got two kittens the next day, it takes your mind off the loss doesnt it??
